    Hi everyone

I started a new job at Chery Creek Automotive as a

Used car salesman and broker in Denver. Unfortunately

I have to work Saturday’s. I plan on dropping my mast on Sunday.

Please let me know if there is anything left to do.

Hopefully by spring I can join some Saturdays to race. I had a

Great time chasing everyone around the race course a week ago

Sunday. I was very impressed with everyone on the starting line.

After many years of sailing and racing her, it is time to part with my Butterfly.  I posted this on Craigslist, but want to see her remain at USC.  My boat is in space 55 if you want to take a look.  I would also consider shared ownership.  I just don't have the time to sail her much anymore.  https://denver.craigslist.org/boa/d/btterfly-sailboat-12-dinghy/6705110498.html

Fellow USC sailors thinking about sailing in the Governor's Cup Regatta:

The title is a bit misleading, but the price goes up sometime between tonight and Sunday.  For non-members of DSA are dinghies are$85, and keel boats are $105 "prior to September 1, 2018.  A late fee of $20 will be added to registrations postmarked/recorded after September 1, 2018.   Juniors (18 and under) are $35 with no late fee."

In case you had some curiosity about our Junior program, check out the 9 photos Jeff Butterworth just added to our Photo section of the website.  They show some of what happens the first day of each session:  learning the parts of a boat, how to rig an opti, and how to tack.  And of course the capsize practice.

Can anyone help me getting my mast to my Butterfly up this Sunday some time before races?  I would truly appreciate the help.

Several years ago, I started a Facebook page for USC.  It has been getting a lot of new people "Liking" the page lately.  Since I am not quite as active in the club as I was, does someone want to take over the page?  If so, please e-mail me at cmarch@insuranceaai.com.  Someone should maintain it and keep it updated.

Yesterday I tried to go to the website by typing weatherunderground.org.  DO NOT DO THIS.  Immediately an audio message came out of my computer, my browser was frozen and a message that supposedly came from comcast, our service provider, came on the tab I was on that I had just been infected with a virus and needed to call an 817 number.  I called the number, but once I was told they needed to get into my computer remotely, I stopped the conversation.   It appears that turning off my machine without letting them in the machine may have eliminated the problem, but I am having the machine checked over to see if there are some hidden problems.  The whole thing is a scam to get you to pay them money to give you back control of your machine.

    Hi All,

I am racing my H16 at the Oktoberfest regatta in 2 weeks, I have a coworker who is adept as sailing the H16 but just moved here from Texas without a boat. Does anyone need crew or have an extra cat they would be willing to lend for the racing?

    Thanks!

We can do RC on Sunday.  However since Doug is still limited to one arm we'd like to have some help.  We'd be happy to take someone who would like to learn more about RC.  We'll be there...............
